I had seen a handful of cute handmade wreaths on Pinterest that piqued my interest! I had to make one when I saw that there were some made with yarn. I love yarn. I can’t help it.
I made three, mainly because my brother just got married and I thought it would be a cute gift for my new sister-in-law and her house. Also, the other gift is for my sister that had a birthday last month. And then one for me!
Supplies:
Next, you start wrapping the yarn around, and around, and around. You can secure the end with hot glue or just tuck it under.
For added interest, I wrapped a contrasting color to make an “X” look (it also makes me think of an argyle sweater…
Alright, for the flowers you cut out six circles of matching size and one smaller circle.
Fold one in half, and then fold into thirds (from the top, it will look like and “S”). I used some hot glue to try and keep them from unfolding.
Then you glue a flat side to the smaller circle.
The repeat for each circle! One they are all in place, glue the button into the center. After the glue has dried, fluff up the petals to make the flowers fuller.
Attach to wreath in desired location. Make more flowers if desired.
